I doubt it was random. He must’ve had something that they wanted and they knew for sure.

Training, vigilance, and avoidance are critical when being an armed defender. But even then, we're all rolling the dice.

At least the bad guys got caught.

Did he try to draw from the drop? If they already have the gun trained on you then it’s too late to draw unless they get distracted.

Or maybe they were trying to force him inside his house and he knew his wife and kids were inside and didn't want to let them get to his family.

Can't tell exactly which house this happened at

If it's the house on the corner it's owner by a chemist that works at the shipyard in Bremerton

Odd that the property taxes weren't paid in October. Maybe a bit of financial trouble

As I often say, a gun isn't a shield, but it's better than nothing.

Political?

My wife is well rehearsed where NOT to sit, that is, facing the entrance, because that's my seat! I like to sit near the rear exit of a restaurant as well.

Same with my wife. My seat at the table is always with the best view of the restaurant, particularly the entrance. I never sit with my back to it.

HA! We do that too, locate exits as we move in, I will be facing the most likely Avenue of approach (main door) when we sit. It's automatic for us.

And at a booth, if we're sitting together, I'm on the outside, no exceptions.

Mine asked me when she got in the truck the other day on the way to HomieDepot.

"Why two base ball bats? really? you always have that gun."
