So folks around the world are working on a new vaccine for the COVID-19. One sounds like they may be ready as soon as the end of the year - more than likely summer of 2021.
Maybe with a million doses or more??? If you were one of the first to be offered the vaccine. Would you take it? Granted nothing is available now so it’s hard to speculate the risk/benefit ratio on an unknown. |

No, me and vaccines don't mix.
Talked me into the pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine, I got pneumonia a week later. Then they talked me into the flu vaccine. Haven't had the flu in 30 years. Been sick for 4 weeks now, spent all afternoon dizzy and puking. I'll take my chances without it. _________________ NRA Endowment Member. How did they know my member was well endowed? |

If I can get out of it because I already have the antibodies I will. Otherwise the military will make it mandatory like the flu vaccine every year.

The first batch will be in limited quantities.
A few million doses. I mean otherwise they would need over 150,000,000 - 250,000,000 doses just for the US alone. |

Ya, they had one of the docs on Fox news saying they need to come up with 200 Million test kits.

I have an idea.

You do realize the theory you are working off misses the human variable.
Where people can’t get - they want. That most likely would pull a lot of folks here rather than be a deterrent as you image. You are looking at it from our point of view. When a poor person with no likelihood knows they will get something they couldn’t back home... guess where they will go. |

Negative, anyone who wants to come here should pay their own way including paying for their own medical exam and shots. Can't afford it? Too bad. There should also be means testing and a mandatory work period that is longer than a measly 10 years to qualify for Medicare and SS but now we're having a whole different conversation. _________________ Armed insurance broker. Yes. I'm a younger guy so I'm not too worried about getting infected myself, but I can't have exposing other people, especially older and vulnerable folks, I care about on my conscience.

If the vaccine works, I think I might have to get it with my EMS hobby since the majority of my calls involve people over 60, often people over 70, and already frail.
