Thread title sounds ominous, right?

NPR reported on this today, only they left off the part about him being a felon and restricted from firearms possession, as well as being under federal supervision. According to their story he got arrested for making guns without serial numbers. That's it. They spent more time explaining what a ghost gun is than the facts of the case*

Edmonds man who made ‘ghost guns’ to serve almost 6 years

Quote:
SEATTLE — A federal judge handed a nearly six-year prison term Friday to an Edmonds man who amassed an arsenal of homemade “ghost guns” despite being on federal supervision for an earlier firearms conviction.

Here's another story from back in February. I'm guessing that it wasn't close enough to an election so it wasn't widely distributed. Today was the first I'd heard of it

Felon on supervision accused of having ‘ghost gun’ arsenal
https://www.columbian.com/news/2020/feb/29/felon-on-supervision-accused-of-having-ghost-gun-arsenal/

Quote:
SEATTLE — A Washington state man who recently served prison time on a gun charge amassed an arsenal of homemade “ghost guns” after his release even though he was on federal supervision, according to a criminal complaint unsealed in U.S. District Court.

Nathan Brasfield, 40, of Edmonds, was sentenced to four years in prison after a 2014 arrest for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He began a three-year term of supervised release in October 2017.

*I have to throw this footnote in: If anyone here thinks that the media isn't biased, I've got a bridge to sell you. It doesnt surprise me anymore but will never stop pissing me off when they LIE by OMISSION

Well the requirements of being a journalist nowadays has surely changed in the last 50 years. I’m so old I can’t remember when they used to report news instead of biased blather.

Arsenal

An arsenal is a place where arms and ammunition are made, maintained and repaired, stored, issued to authorized users, or any combination of those. Over the centuries, this has included every variant of such a place, whether privately or publicly owned. Armories and arsenals are both places where arms or ammunition may be made, maintained and repaired, stored, or issued. The usage differences between the names is mainly a matter of historical linguistic development. It is a common principle in natural language that synonyms have subtle connotative boundaries."
No number mentioned.
What MSM calls an "arsenal", we call a starter kit. (or car kit).

I still follow the school of Cooper. It's not an arsenal, it's a battery.

If you know what song that makes me think of, we can be friends.
