Saw some digging in the gravel under the deck of the mother-in-law building. Set up the game cam and low and behold....
I've read ammonia rags in a bag with holes in it, dog or coyote urine, any of this stuff work?
Also a feral cat and a deer captured last night too.

I have trapped a few. Was trying to get raccoons, but came up skunk.
If you get one, first Cover the trap with a blue plastic tarp. Transport the covered trap in the back of your truck to release site. You will also need a live trap with a quick-release function to open up the trap. Open up trap, grab corner of tarp and back up. Skunk will exit trap. Word is, Skunks don’t typically spray when they are in an enclosed space.
Or you can do what my son did when he was 10. Shoot it through the trap, and stink up the entire neighborhood.

Good luck (having it not spray anything)... I would try and relocate it soon, because of the possibility it is a female looking for a site to have a litter. They are actually a nice animal. When I was a child we had neighbors who raised some young skunks that lost their mother... Hard to get rid of the smell if they spray, I hit one with a car, don't know if that car ever smelled fresh again. Tried using tomato juice to clean the car.
If there is a humane society or a group that catches feral cats, etc, or something similar near you, they might have live-animal traps you can use for free...

I’m all for live trapping and relocating. Don’t get me wrong here. But I have heard. They only spray when stressed or in fear. Some people have had luck shooting them with suppressed air rifles. A hart or lung shot should do the trick. The key is the skunk can’t know what hit it. Hence the suppressed part. They are almost always shot at night. So some sort of night vision my be required. If you have a suppressed.22 LR that would be great. I’d guess a bow and arrow would work just as well.

Also go out and take a piss anywhere you have seen evidence of skunks.

Or perhaps some cougar, bobcat, or coyote scent if such things are available.

Ok, talked to my buddy behind our house, he said and I quote "get cher some soaked rags in scented ammonia pop them in a plastic bag, poke a few holes in the bag and down the hole she goes!"
Sounded kinky so I did it.

I'll make a very strong recommendation here. If you choose to trap that skunk, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT attempt to relocate it! As it is we are not in trapping season so that animal cannot be removed by anyone except a certified wildlife control operator licensed by the state to remove problem animals. Skunk are a fur bearing species so they are well regulated in washington in what can be done with them. If it were during trapping season (nov-march) things would be different. As the law stands a trapped problem animal of any fur bearing species MUST be dispatched on sight, or released on the same property they were caught on. It's a pretty fair fine for doing otherwise. If you intend to have it removed you need to apply for a special trapping permit through olympia, or hire a wco who will aquire the permit for you to have it removed. Not worth the fines to try to relocate if you get caught. That being said if you want to prank someone with a skunk idea look up Cavens Ghusto. Super strong skunk based lure used for bobcat and coyote trapping, know as a long distance call lure. And don't be surprised if the box it ships in has been opened and taped back up several times the post office flags the packages of this stuff often since there is almost no bottle, tape, or bag that it gets shipped in that is capable of containing the smell. Another one is Jeff Dunlap's Hellfire

Norman, I'm in rural MT. Ya see a critter, ya shoot it. No questions asked. The problem is, I'm in bed when skunks are awake and I don't have a night scope. :)
