About 12 years ago I worked with a guy from the Ivory Coast on the west coast of Africa. One day at lunch the subject of racism come up and what he he thought about the racism in the US. He laughed and told us we haven't got the slightest clue what real racism was/is. He went on to say most of what he'd seen in his time here was very minor at most and nowhere near what he had experienced in his home country.
