When Teslas don't connect to the power grid and stop being a mandated and subsidized product then electricity policy won't be about them.

In theory I don't mind people having electric cars. But they are becoming a vehicle for mandating that people can ONLY have electric cars and meanwhile our energy supply is reducing in proportion to the population and the people in charge have no qualms about cutting people off from the basics of society if they don't like those people (social credit systems, digital currency, social media review before getting civil rights and now controlling an electrical grid which will also happen to be the only way to get your car to move around).

In China if your social credit score isn't high enough you can't buy a plane ticket or sometimes even a train ticket and near the urban centers everything requires a smartphone and the party app. I'm sure the Chinese would love to get electric cars they can control through the grid as well except they have an even bigger energy shortage than we do which is why the joke known as the Paris agreement allows them to keep increasing emissions for decades as a "developing nation."

Tl;Dr: EVs are the environazis latest attempt to control behavior and eventually slim down the amount of personal automobiles that exist (expense, electricity availability and expense, electrical distribution, etc)

Thank you. Pretty sure it has been said before here and I know in many other places. EV is in it's infancy. "ICE" vehicles at this time in their development were just inventing the pneumatic tire...

This big problem right now is all the Dick-Taters in charge mandating shit. They need to F right the hell off and let the free market do it's thing. EV has made significant strides all on it's own in features, range, charging, etc in the last few years and is at the point demand out strips supply, that drives production and thus development all on it's own. Tax credit got nixed for most people. I have noticed a slight drop in EV demand from it, but they are still flying off lots normally before they arrive. It may also drive prices down and get rid of some of the extreme markups the market has seen.

Seatthell is on the verge of banning gasoline powered lawn and yard tools or maybe they've already done it. I know before I left the Island they were on the verge of doing it to. The leftists especially hate gas powered leaf blowers.
