....

Couple Members here know I've been going through a bit of a health crisis.

Got the good news today that im 95% gonna make it.

I just wanted to let you guys know that there's a Cancer out that that will kill you..if you're not familiar with the symptoms.

Its Painless...the only way you know you have an issue is what they call Early satiation.

Feeling full before your plate is empty.

Its a fucker of a cancer and VERY aggressive. The Doc said I had it only 6 months.

Only reason I recognized the issue is im a cheap fucker. September In Idaho I was eating at the Brazillian Buffet and couldnt do the 60 dollar damage I should have done to the menu.

Even after a full health screen in November my Doc said I was ok..

In January I pestered him again and he reluctantly called in an Upper GI.

His face told the story after that test.

Be careful, Know your body....question NOT feeling right.

That is all.

Above all when I walk my beat, no matter where I roam. Let me go back whence I came, to family and home

would you mind describing in more detail the symptoms of early satiation?
do you get hungry as hell, eat, but are full way before the end of the plate?
do you get hungry soon after you stop eating?
i would appreciate details and the name of the cancer, please.
thank you!

Yeah that's the scary part.

Absolutely No symptoms other than getting full by eating very little.

If you used to eat a full plate of spaghetti and now it only takes half or less to be full then.....

Its Stomach Cancer.

The only other symptom I had was itchy armpits...which is your Lymph system.

That's awesome! i'll give you some of my luck for that last 5% and it'll be 100%!
Now you're going to have to organize a charity match for that kind of cancer :)

Yeah the one good reason to make it through this was knowing the wolves were salivating over my collection.

You need to get your ass back shooting...we all miss you.

Man, glad you're doing better and caught it early

Being your own best advocate is sound advice. My grandmother kept complaining to her doctor that something was wrong with her throat and he just dismissed it. Told her to gargle saltwater. Turned out it was esophageal cancer. Only lasted six months after they finally diagnosed it

I'm glad they caught it Jim, and good on you for keeping after the Doctor.

You may have just helped a 2nd person too. I have had that not eat much and feel full/bloated thing for sometime too.

I will be calling the GI people, thanks for getting the word out.

Never hurts to make friends with your healthcare providers - bet doughnuts make their day!

On a side note. I just came off a 4-day fast. Not sure if you're up for it, and you certainly should ask your doc. But, I've heard that fasting before chemo can be very helpful. It creates a crap ton of new T-cells, and refreshes your immune system.

Well hell Jim, I'd welcome you to the club but it's not the kind of club you really want to be a part of.
Do what the doc says.
Ooolge the RN's.
Take a nap while you're in the chair.
Get better.
