Just to single out one... your charity is being used against you. The manner in which this situation is being allowed to unfold will ultimately lead to an inability to be charitable.

I'm more of a "rising water raises all boats" kind of guy, rather than "let's sink everyone's standard of living, 'cuz, you know...equity."

Be assured there is more to opening the border wide than just being charitable. It's in order to break national sovereignty. And not just that of the U.S. Plenty of nations across Europe are being targeted in the same manner.

Precisely. Unchecked, lawless immigration will ultimately undo the prosperity that enables charity.

Furthermore, let's not forget that many people delayed gratification by following our immigration laws, submitting to the proper process, and waiting for permission. Isn't it insulting to them to allow everyone else to stream across the border at will, with no regard for our nation's laws or processes?

Finally, treating foreigners well and allowing them to do whatever they want are NOT the same thing. That's like saying it's child abuse not to let your kid stay out all night with their friends, eat chocolate cake for every meal, and do as they as please in your house. OhShoot!, do not make the mistake of conflating the two. God is a god of law and order; what is happening on our southern border is chaotic and confusing, and the Bible is clear that God is not the author of confusion.
