My condolences. Many of us may/will face these same tough choices.

My first anthrax show sent me to the hospital. When it was time for my second shot, I refused and I was taken to a room with two Lt. Col. doctors who said they would court martial me if I refused. I chickened out and got the shot and it made things worse. After years of effort, I finally got my health back. But that was a real vaccine, not this modified RNA garbage. You don't know what this will do to you long term. You can't chelate this out.

I was laid off 3 times in my 40+ years of working. Each time was a shit stain excuse which boiled down to getting rid of people to show a good one year return. I kid you not. I WAS in management and I of course knew (miserable) people who remained.

The last time I prayed (among other things) - "This - please - will not happen to my family again. Give me the strength and wisdom and with YOUR grace the ability to start a business and retain a job until retirement." God truly is good and great.

Here’s my story. After I got out of the Army, I was a lowly greasemonkey & parts changing robot that couldn’t find a mechanic job anywhere near home.. I succumbed to work at a tire shop in central Florida (for $4.50 per hour, early 80’s) . One day we were not that busy, standing by the big open shop door, smokin & jokin watching the rain come down in buckets and lightning that was so close the hair on our arms stood tall. Anyways, my boss comes over and says to me, head over to exit xxx on I-75 and change 6 tires on two semi’s that were just involved in a crash…

I’ve almost been struck by lightning once before and I was not going to chance it so I told him NO in front of the whole crew. He said give me the keys to the truck, I did, he turned to my coworker (and good friend), held them out and said, Albert, can I count on you? He responded YES SIR!!! I said “Fukk it, I’m out a here!!!”

I was off work for two weeks, feeling nut kicked every day then I stumbled into a conversation, the next day I interviewed for a telephone contract company job paying about a buck more per hour starting out. That chance encounter gave me a career that lasted 40+ years making 50-100k per year depending on how much I wanted to work.

I appreciate all the kind words and encouragement. I almost wonder if they are bluffing... They have never been able to keep people in that engine room, we just lost two new guys, and one other guy is unvaccinated... There's a huge shipyard this fall, getting the entire fish meal plant torn out and replaced.... I have a couple leads, but not sure I want to play with boats anymore.
