There are plenty of both in our history. I'm not saying the pendulum swinging so far to the left is good for us. But Christopher Columbus discovering America and the pilgrims sitting down for a Thanksgiving meal with the Native Americans is a pretty gross misrepresentation of what really happened. Correcting the portrayal of some of these things, while difficult for folks from my generation and older at times, may not be a bad thing. Just my 2 cents. |
