Given that the Vaccine Mandate has taken effect in King County I felt it was time to support some Pierce County restaurants.
Are there any go to restaurants I should hit?
I live in Federal Way so looking around the Fife/Tacoma area but willing to go further to support a good spot.

Crocketts Public House in downtown Puyallup is good. 118 E Stewart Ave, Puyallup, WA 98371

Depends on location. The Sumner location is excellent. Somehow, Bonney Lake location was below par. At least when we lived there....

Funny, I lived in Wilkeson, I only went to the Sumner spot. Wasn't aware of a BL location.

Seems like I remember a place in Tacoma called the Berry Patch. They served most anything berry related like Huckleberry muffins and pancakes.

Puerto Vallarta in Puyallup has, IMO, the best Mexican in the area. If you want more of a taco-truck (bus, in this case) version of Mexican food check out Los amigos taqueria.

Legend in Tacoma if you want a reallyvgood greasy burger; I think I've eaten at every burger joint in Tacoma and I thought Legends was the best. Frugals is also good, and so is Out and About Burger (my wife prefers out and about to Legend).

Burger Seoul in Tacoma if you want something like a burger but with a Korean twist.

Karma Indian in South Hill if you like excellent Indian food (their 5 in spiciness is legitimately a 5, go with a 2 or 3 if you like to taste your food).

Crockett's public house in Puyallup has good American/pub food.

Steamers in Point Definace if you like fish and chips. They're also right on the sound.

Trappers in South Hill if you like sushi.

Boiling Crawfish in Puyallup if you like crawfish.

I've heard good things about Stanley and Seaforts, El Gaucho, and the Matador, but haven't been.

I wasn't that impressed by Anthony's, Boathouse 19, or Harbor Lights, but that's from a sample size of one meal.

Moctezumas in Tacoma is my favorite Mexican

Sushi and wok in puyallup has good teriyaki and sushi

Heard good things about Texas de Brazil

I have always avoided the Bonney lake buttered biscuit and el gaucho because my wife has a friend who is a health in Spector and she inspected el gaucho and for being such an expensive place they got a horrible score… idk how the scores work but I heard they failed . Don’t know how they are still open or how that works but I will not take my chances there with a 200$ tab .

And with the buttered biscuit, for a while they got shit Down, a young girl interviewed for a cook position and they gave her a walk through of the kitchen and it made her sick how dirty the kitchen was and the way they just had food sitting out . 90% of there menu items are just reheated , nothing is fresh . Like I said it’s stuff that I heard, I have no evidence, but I won’t take my chances.

All the white people "mexican food" around here is meh. If I'm forced to eat it I'll do mis tres amigo's or Moctezuma's, Puerto Vallarta is super generic to me.
