Pfizer funds KY GOP HQ. Donates $1million to build the "Mitch McConnell building".

How does one state produce Ron and Rand Paul... AND Mitch McConnell?

KY has a love/hate relationship with Mitch. He holds a lot of power, hard for the state to give that up. But he's a swamp dweller and nobody's a fan of that here either

Pfizer has a history of donating more to the [D] than [R] so I guess there's that

Follow-up to the cocaine bear movie...

Sequel 'Rehab Bear' Green-Lit By Producers
https://babylonbee.com/news/sequel-rehab-bear-green-lighted-by-producers?fbclid=IwAR05KZ8nB9L-5aJcSPJzwehygjKY2utUOcgsnFU-AuLIZDdi5esdowCaq6c
Quote:
LOS ANGELES, CA — Due to the overwhelming popularity of the film Cocaine Bear, movie studio executives and producers announced they have already green-lighted a sequel — an emotional, psychological film reportedly titled Rehab Bear.

"We thought it would be really great to see where the bear goes from here," said producer Curt Schampers. "We've seen him in the throes of cocaine addiction, raging at the world. What happens when he is forced into rehab and discovers that his true enemy…is the bear within?"

Hopefully, the bear fakes turning over a new leaf, then after gaining the trust of the researchers, he eats all of them.

Past few days have really sucked

We had a huge wind storm on Friday evening that knocked out power to a lot of people, including us. We still don't have power and don't know when it will come back on

Hard to tell in the picture but there's a big tree laying on the power line at the back

So glad I've got a good generator

https://www.amazon.com/Westinghouse-WGen7500-Portable-Generator-Electric/dp/B01N80F68E/ref=asc_df_B01N80F68E/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198056825273&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17610192324640456611&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9014319&hvtargid=pla-353388953223&th=1

7500W seems to be doing just fine keeping up with everything. I back fed a 30A breaker to get power into the panel

We have two fridges and one deep freeze. Have a crock pot going for dinner and two computers on. About the only time I could tell it was bogging down was when the wife decided she needed to do laundry and ran the dryer (after I told her we shouldn't...). Filling gas cans kinda sucks. I'm going to look into getting a generator that runs on natural gas. Costco has a bunch for $900 right now. Might go that route or might get a bigger permanently installed unit. Either way I need to wire it in so we don't have a cord run through a window like it is now

KY governor hides under his desk while legislature passes and enacts - without the gov's signature - a bill preventing state employees from cooperating with the Feds over 2A.

https://www.ammoland.com/2023/04/bill-p ... L_CAMPAIGN)

"The law has a similar effect to the Oklahoma Second Amendment Protection Act, without the verbiage about the federal government violating the Second Amendment. The act specifically references the Supreme Court decisions affirming the federal government does not have the authority to commandeer local or state agents to enforce federal policy."

Ah, Louisville

That's not really Kentucky, it's South Indiana over there. If the city could succeed they would
