The shortcomings have nothing to do with it being a Nissan; they have to do with the lack of options (I picked a rig with no 4x4, a short bed, and no towing capacity to speak of). But I was living on a small island at the time with no snow/nowhere to drive it offroad, very little need to transport anything, and nothing to tow. 9 years later, things are different. But it has been such a rock-solid commuter (and I own it free and clear), so I just can't bring myself to get rid of it.

But you can bet my next truck will be everything this one isn't.
