Every Russian that is killed in Ukraine by Ukrainians is potentially one less Russian I or one of my Kids have to shoot if they decided to get friskier. It's cheaper to give them bullets now while we can still outproduce everyone in munitions than have to contend with our sons and daughters having to put their skin in the game.

It's also one less Russian the Chinese have to worry about so several more Chinese our sons and daughters may have to fight.

China is the real longterm threat. Russia helps keep them in check.

i genuinely would like to know what is it that makes China and/or Russia "a threat".

China's a threat because:
-they have murdered more humans than any government in the history of mankind
-they are a brutal totalitarian dictatorship that continually commits genocide and threatens to invade other nations calling them 'rogue provinces'
-they are a communist dictatorship whose ruling party has literature that calls for our downfall and eradication from the earth

China and Russia are totalitarian communist governments that funnel much of their productive wealth into their militaries, whose eventual aim is world domination and to do that, they will strike as one clenched fist as they've said in the past, at the United States as its primary target. So YES, Russia and China are definite threats to America, in my opinion as a cold warrior.

I would say that that would be correct for the past and that is what we all have been 'told'..... But you are not leaving much room for the concept/possibility that the 'world is a changin' and there may be a movement away from communism..... Its pretty easy to control a population that is poor, ignorant/uneducated and reliant on the gov as has been the case.... Just like Russia, as the population emerges from under the thumb of the dictators control and start to amass wealth and property, people will tend to WANT to throw off the tyrannical control. You can't tell me that all of the chinese that were sent here for college educations for the last two or three generations still adhere to the communist ideology now --- can you? You are holding the current generation accountable for past leadership and regimes. China is facing their own socioeconomic crisis now due to poor and corrupt leadership and industry.

My gut tells me that Xi and Putin have seen how much better their countries could be without communism and corruption and that they are in the process of dealing with it on a global scale. At least that is what I'm hoping for.
