Debating whether to file an insurance claim or not. My premium just went up $140 from moving a few miles north.

Passed a TRX on the way to work this morning. Floored the gas and swear I saw a little pee dripping down from the scardey cat.

BTW, its a Hybrid V6. Sounds so fun. From silent to grrr grrr VROOOOOM, pop pop pop pop.

We going to make this the "Laughs in ICE" thread?

But for real, sucks about that. Scumbags everywhere make me paranoid of where I park my vehicles

Syphoning gas, stealing CATs. Can't these people do something less intrusive like cryptocurrency fraud?

I even parked it in a lit area thinking it would help. Not so...

Hearing these things getting stolen from lots of people I know... I'm glad that only my 86 samurai still has one, they probably wouldn't even look (although they wouldn't need a jack...) the old Benz has a particulate filter (diesel) but I don't think they are after those, and it may fall off soon.

In Puyallup a guy parked his new $1,000,000 pickup in the train station lot, not realizing he interrupted a gas theft when he left home and got into his truck. His tank had a freshly drilled hole in it which led to a large puddle in the parking lot and a bystander calling the fire department.

For now, I just threw in a flex pipe. Still has a bit of an exhaust leak since they didn't have the right size. But at least now it's liveable.

And here i had to cut my own off.... I sure could have used a good samaritan saving me the work, especially considering how hard it was to cut mine off

Sawzall makes quick work of it.

So, can you run without a cat on newer cars? Or does it mess with the O2 sensor/computer interaction?

Since WA doesn't smog cars anymore, is there a workaround?

WA emissions stations closed last year; or was it 2020 (?) due to expiration of the law and it hasn’t been renewed. My truck has long tube headers and test pipes. My work van is going to be breathing free as soon as I can get test pipes fitted for it.

If you don’t mind the CEL or the smell of uncatalyzed exhaust, the fuel savings are worth it.
