The only thing I can see saving this state is, if R's somehow hold the Federal Gov when the D's light off CW-II, full-on Occupation and Reconstruction at bayonet point just like the postwar South. Once it's game-on and the Blue States secede, Red Counties in those states need to get together, declare their allegiance to the Republic and basically channel West Virginia.

Looks like our state senate seat will stay R if the young guy doesn't do anything stupid. Plus maybe hope for our two state reps as well. Crossing fingers.
