One of my lessons to my son.
He’s 9 and when we go to amusement parks I have him watch the people talking the talk. But more importantly I have him watch when it’s time to walk the walk… how it doesn’t match all the BS.
So, life isn’t about when life is good. It’s about when times are hard that you see the true sense of a person. I mean one can have a very smooth talk but what they are truly made of only comes out and is tested when time are hard or when work has to be done.
So doesn’t mean you have to have your arms out. But if you talk smack. It’s all about the ability to follow through with all that smack.
Obviously you will see me but look closer. In front of me is my 9 year old son with his arms out. Made me sit behind him so I could see him for the whole ride.
It’s not about bragging. But a simple life lesson to pass along. A proud father-son moment for sure but hopefully a life lesson he will apply forever in his life.
Remember the world needs Men. Not what’s coming out these days called whatever…
This was at Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho. On the rollercoaster - Stunt Pilot
If you have kids. It’s about creating monsters that can control their wild side. Tap into it But be able to tame it.
Not to raise tame kids that can’t control themselves. Little out of control monsters become big out of control monsters.

To quote one of my favorites Jordan Peterson "Young men really well young woman as well most mostly young men really need to hear this, you should be a MONSTER, an absolute monster and then, you should learn to control it"

....
My son who is now Regular Army and I have frequented Silverwood plenty of times.
We'd split two days...
One days rides/coasters the other day would be the wet side.
ALWAYS had one of those huge Icecream cones for lunch and never missed a Magic Show.
Great coasters....I always ask him before any ride...."How do you know a ride is a good one?"
Hed say "The smell of vomit on the start platform"

Good post.
I raised my kids with a simple method.
Edit: "We" raised "our" kids with a simple method.
Give them everything they need, but not everything they want.
They both play Box Lacrosse, Men's League Lacrosse and both coach Bonney Lake HS Lacrosse, each being 24 and 26 years old holding excellent jobs.
In the Seattle area. And they don't do drugs.
My wife and I are so proud of how they turned out.
"Mic drop"....walks away
