Talk to me about garden hoses. Recently moved into a new place and am watering spaces that are at least 150 feet away for the immediate future until I can get landscaping hoes run. Do you have any recommendations for good trunk lines of about 100 feet that are durable, kink free, and yet still somewhat flexible?
And do you have recommendations for the last 50 feet that are very flexible and still durable so that I’m not fighting a massive hose that never will coil up but also not one that will kink and bend and flip everywhere?
There are a dizzying array of options in the hardware store. I’ve purchased a couple that turned out to be way to stuff to ever think about coiling band another that is too loose and kinks every 5’.

We had a couple of similar threads a few years back, and I was ready to buy something quality. Here’s what I got, and I’ve been very happy with it: viewtopic.php?f=148&t=92759&p=927207#p927207
Madpick is right on with his recommendations there's nothing better on the market, hose or reel. I have two of the parallel reels, one on the front of the house and an original design on my shop out back. I also bought my quick connects from them, true 3/4" ID, expensive, but i threw away all of my Lowe's and HD quick connects, there's absolutely no comparison. A couple of months back mine started seeping around the Stainless J on the reel swivel. I sent them a pic and a pic of the serial tag, within 1 hour there was a shipping notification for a COMPLETE swivel assembly. No questions, no nothing. Had it in 2 days. FYI Madpick they now are copper tubing instead of stainless. There are things in life that just totally fit the "you get what you pay for", this one of them.
BTW, the hose can be a bit of a PITA, it's 100% urethane, and has a mind of it's own, but it's the best, period.

Wife bought a flexzilla hose. It is very flexible, even when cold. Coils up easily. Not too heavy. However, after only 2 months the female fitting broke in half at the swivel joint. Easy to replace, but makes me wonder about overall quality.
