How's Trump looking now? ... if Michelle runs, it doesn't matter who runs against her. She'll win. If you don't vote for her, you're a racist sexist bigot nazi... I'm ok with that.....jus sayin.

Sorry Michelle but STFU and let your husband do his job I have the same thought with Kari Lake being a candidate for VP. 26 years as a reporter does not qualify you for the #2 spot in the country. Maybe after serving as a Gov, but that ship sailed.

VP is almost always chosen as an anchor to pull in vote the top of the ticket doesn't bring. If Trump is already at the top of the ticket it doesn't add any votes to have a Trump ally in the second spot. An evangelical or establishment republican would shore up more votes.
If Trump isn't at the top of the ticket then a close Trump ally in the VP slot would help ensure the Trump vote still shows up.
DeSantis/Lake makes more sense than Trump/Lake. If it's Trump you want someone like Haley in the VP slot

I still think Tulsi Gabbard would be an ideal running mate for the same reasons.

Last I heard, Tulsi was still in favor of an AWB. That still the case?

Interesting piece on how DeSantis has the Romney problem, he's too intellectual and not relatable to the common man. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archi ... 24/672292/

This thread has been retitled to broaden the scope to a fuller discussion of the impending election. Speaking of Romney and growing dissent and discontent among conservative voters: https://www.americanthinker.com/article ... comes.html"....why on Earth would those even slightly tainted by the reek of RINO stench think Republican voters will forget the last fifteen years of betrayals and do as they say? Globalism, Chamber of Commerce, democracy building, open borders, Wall Street, the Federal Reserve, Big Tech censorship, two-tiered justice, corporate wokeism, the Deep State — these are all vile and dirty words for most Republican voters, even as they are openly embraced to varying degrees by the RINO Establishment Class." The article contains and is an endorsement of the real President. In the comments are good points for and against the man who, until a more suitable candidate may emerge, is the least stinky among the political school of fish.

Not going to happen w/ Haley. Nor Pence. They don't have the clout.
If I was a practical jokester and head of the RNC, I'd push a Trump/Noem ticket, Trump steps down after 2 years, Noem takes over as the first women president, and DeSantis is VP. Sets DeSantis up in 2028 w/o screwing Florida by leaving early.
Those fascist Republicans just put a woman in the highest office in America. How dare they! That's the job of the progressive Democrats and they'll do it once they get your donation.
I don't think DeSantis would leave Florida unless guaranteed to be CinC. There's no upside leaving FL if Trump is still in the picture.
A Trump/DeSantis ticket would probably be the best option for winning. Assign DeSantis the border and get that under control, which gives a big feather in Ron's cap for 2028.
The Ds are going to push Newsom. But who's VP? Mike Obama or Jeffries? There isn't a strong contender outside Newsom. No one's going to vote for Pritzer from IL. De Blasio? Nope. Hochul is unlikeable; to me she has a look like a former porn star from the 70s who's trying to grasp that last bit of celebrity. Lightfoot from Chicago? We don't want to scare the children, folks. Inlsee couldn't get in on the Biden Administration because he exudes White Privilege.

Hey lefty! You trying to muscle out my 2024 Presidential thread? Really, I don't care, except that it might be beneficial to unclutter the board and merge them into this one? Mods? Mine is titled something like: "Retitled: 2024 Election"

The Republicans had too many candidates stay in the race far too long.
The Dems got Buttigieg & others to drop out earlier, with promises of appointments to $200k jobs that they were unqualified for, and too stupid to explain what’s going wrong when things happen.
If the Republicans overpopulate the election again, and they hang on too long again, they’ll shoot themselves in the foot, again.
But ego has no bounds…
