I'm generally in favor of providing people the option to end their own lives in a clean and humane way. But yeah, they do seem to be taking it a bit too far up north!

I read (citation needed) that 1 in 30 deaths in Canada are "assisted" now, eh.

I can't find the link right now, but I saw an article a couple of weeks ago about an elderly Canadian whose housing subsidy was running out so he decided to apply for the euthanasia program. He said he'd rather be dead than homeless.

Such a fucked up system. And our country can't be too far from it with all the handouts we're giving.

At 0:49 in the OANN video at the link above, it says that 3.3% of Canadian deaths in 2021 were assisted suicide. The number was 5% in Quebec and British Columbia.

I think I saw a GoFundme was setup for him and it raised the money he needed.Guess going viral has its benefits.
