So sounds like private party is the way to go
as for prices i think $20 may be too low to draw those on the fence into our trap. In larger population center that are less rural and have more guns to offer $20 may work but im thinking a higher amount since even those piece o crap mosins should be worth a C note and $20 barely covers gas to the mini mart and back

No takers on the idea of making a charitable donation in the name of the donor to the charity of choice? That might pull in a few that are "on the fence".

depending on what that sherriff says I might give this a go and drive all the way down there. ive got a 4 seater car with two seats open too so if I do go and other northenders wanted to go as well I might be able to carpool.

I find it difficult to believe that the brotherhood lets each and every cool weapon end up in the melting pot...just saying
I suspect they would look down on competition for said weapons but seems it would be a bigger black eye or PR mess to start a legal "you cant be here" pissing contest
public event on public property. We have any legal types here that we can run possibilities with
Donation to charity of choice would be a fine idea and may appeal to some of our potential donators.

None of this fair price BS, if they are willing to GIVE then to LE, then a little cash might entice them to sell to members than give to LE. we must also be responsible and let every member that shows have an opportunity to buy the guns they want. If we buy them all for the same prices, then afterwards we can do a meet/greet/swap.
If I buy a G23 for $20, then I can trade it for a rem 870 or something because we all bought the guns for the same price. Even trade only sort of thing. 1 gun for 1 gun.
Buy them up, swap later.
This! $20 a pop, and a swap meet afterwards. A simple hand held sign would work.
One should cordinate with TOS on a fixed price, what doesn't need to happen is an "auction" on the street.

$20 might be too low. It was just an arbitrary number I threw out there. Based on what I have seen in buy-backs before, $50 is more standard and more reasonable for the seller. Remember, if the guns are broken pieces of junk, we can always turn them away and send them to the LE for disposal.

Yes, but we can always turn down a sale. Maybe well have to test the waters when we get there. See if people bite on the $20, if not we can up it to $30, $40, $50.

Its all about the benjamins...i would gladly pay that amount for a lot of whats out there...we can always send them to booth number two. $50-$100 has a lot of motivation power

AS ive said this would work best as an organized effort and not an on the spot bidding fest. We may have an opportunity to do double good here
I dont want to lose something signifigant or something that would be a killer deal for us to the po po cause we went cheap on the offerings. I want us to be the first filter not the Sheriff
The dollar amount might lead to some free PR. The Sheriff and how they choose to stand on us being there ay get free PR as well

Maybe we have Seperate groups. $100 table, $50 table, $20 table. Try the $100 table, if they don't make a sale, then try the next one down.
Also, to help entice people have a stack of bills of sale for us to fill out quick and simple for the peace of mind of the people selling their guns.
