Gave up on the 606's, couldnt get 2k out of them.
You'll be able to remount the one post on one side an make a brkt on the other to get the pegs lowered. Or, fnd a set that bolts on and make brkts to weld to frame and bolt the pegs to those.
All I see in the second pics is ass jewelery with wheels on both ends!

Im hoping to never crash again. got tboned buy a drunk F&^% on my old motorcycle, leg snapped in half, a month in harnor view, and another 3 months stuck in a bed. Everyone thought i was a tard for getting another bike.

Depending on where I ride I get between 1,500 and 3,500 out of a rear tire. Usually by 2,000 it's showing enough wear to remind me to take it easy. Black rock logging roads chew them up in a hurry. They really aren't the greatest DS tire if you're on pavement a lot. 90/10 they call it.

I run a Dunlop 606 on the rear and a Continental TKC 80 front. I like the Conti but some people like the Pirelli M-21 and Kenda Enduro, too.

My bike is close to the same weight as yours, just a bit smaller engine. More high strung, a thumper that wants to wind.

i really want to get a second set of wheels and tires, and just mount some good street tires on them. but wheels arent cheap. sted9r what tires did you go with?

I know they're Kendas but have to check model. My drive is a 50-50 and have about 3500 on it and should another 3500 or 3000. It is a bit harder and i can wash it out on hard top if i get stupid. My front is more street oriented, got tired of cupping at 1k on all the ds tires. Have never had any traction issues offroad even on marbles aired down to about 18psi. The stretch from packwood to walput lake will tend to feel like you have a push but think thats more operator fault for loosing attention on a 20 some odd mile trip in gravel inches thick.
I dont do any single track stuff unless its a wide and unrutted trail, to heavy bike to use throttle to lift front and center of gravity to high.

For good local guys for parts. Check Dirt Cheap in Shelton John can order you anything, and also Vince in Lacey can save a guy some dough

Just replaced some seat cushions on a meat wagon, you can have the foam if ya want it, i usually toss it all in the dumpster. It forms nice with a sander.
Taint hauling it south though, youll hafta come north for it.

I think I rode a 250 for my motorcycle test. It was the business for doing the slow speed maneuvering over the other styles.

We have a couple Yamaha XT 225s out at my dads cabin. Not a rocket by any means, but reliable and will go just about anywhere.

We will have to hit it up soon, the old man has a 70-80 mile ride we do, it's pretty damn fun. We stop half way up for some shootin too.

On my DRZ I also run a D606 on the rear. It seems to last a little bit longer than an MT21 on the rear. On the front I run an MT21
