Being in between jobs has given me time to actually get stuff done on the bike. Battery came from ebay. Filled, charged for three days and installed. Rear brake pedal fixed. Tail light in the mail.
Next up is remounting the license and replacing the rear chain.
that's a good list of work. I got my advmonster led's on, and all my electrical outlets. Me and a few buddies went up to ashford thru yelm last weekend. Found some awesome camping spots right on the river. Trying to get in all the riding we can before our WABDR trip. Need to get use to the saddle. no fun riding in pain.

I bought a MonsterSpeed Triple in Portland a long time ago. Flew down on the puddle jumper and rode it home. Half way home I hated that bike. By the time I got home I almost wanted to sell it. I wouldn't get back on it for a week. I took the seat off and took it to Rich's (when he was up by Green Lake) and had a gel pad install in it. Two weeks later a bunch of us rode the Memorial weekend ride consisting of: Auburn to Vancouver, BC to Whistler to Lillooet down to Hope then over to Osoyoos then down to Hwy 20 to come back home. Look at the map. Total of something like 1,000 in three and a half days. That gel pad was the best thing I've ever done to a bike. It felt like I had only ridden around the block.

Feel bad. My DS just sits there, waiting...and waiting. One of these days I'll ride it, until then...
Later in the day I endo'ed off a 4' rock wall. Bike landed on me...sucks that one videos batteries where dead and the other got ripped off of the guys helmet
The tires are new and are rated more for the street than trail but are fine for logging roads and such. When they wear out I'll be going with something that are geared a little more toward off road.
606's are some of the best tires I've tried. I rock those 70-90(down hill) on the freeway. The price finally got to me. I have trackmasters on now to ride with the big boys (once or twice a year, LOL) and I'll get a set of shinkos for those easy fireroad/street rides.

I really wanted to get those Shinkos but they don't carry them in my size.
Hate the 606's. A 2500 mile tire at best. Will have to see what ive got on there now, 4000 on it and will probably go another 3k, no cupping either. The 606 are soft and just got tired of changing out the drive set twice a year. Run the kenda 761 on the steer, its got about 10k on it and should go another couple of k but its starting to cup now. I dont single track. Run fr's and alot of freeway trips over the pass and such to explore, nothing worse than the cupping harmonics at 70mph to drive you nuts.....
