I need a bank/cu that doesn't suck

best bank / insurance company there is.

takes a little getting used to not having a physical branch to go in, but their service can't be beat.

+1. Had usaa for 4 years now, and won't ever switch. It's one stop shopping for everything I need, banking, loans, insurance, ect. Love them.

USAA is #1 and they are very responsive despite they do not have a physical office in Wa State. Their online bill pay is phenomenal and you can list all your accounts even ones in other Financial institutions on your account list.

Pentagon federal Credit Union is the same way. I recently bought another car through them. Applied online on Saturday afternoon, got the check in the mail on Tuesday. Never talked to a person on the phone . Can you beat that.

Wells Fargo for local banking and Mortgage. People talk crap about Wells Fargo mortgage, my experience is these are people with lousy credit anyway.

I have both USAA and Navy Federal CU, both have been amazing.

USAA does have only 1 branch in TX but deposits can be made through your phone or any UPS location. They also do FREE money transfers.. so I deposit into my NFCU and just transfer to USAA... instant, and no charge.
