I had a similar experience today, with a similar reaction. My trip didn't involve IKEA; even worse, I had to go to that shithole Seattle.

Just curious...today's our anniversary & wife wanted to go out to dinner.....I made sure to make a res not in Seattle....

It was on Rainier, north to I-90 ... we never even got to downtown, it was just a couple of stops (and a shitload of stopped traffic) on Rainier.

I was pissed. Took most of my afternoon, for nothing.

Seeing people just dump animals in parking lots that they no longer want to take care of. This shit pisses me off. If I had the room for two more dogs I would gladly adopt these guys.

My kid told me the story of him and his Buddys dog this weekend.

His buddy was taking out the trash and the dog bolts out the door through the fence and into the street.

My kid's an AVID dog LOVER...he runs two blocks and catches the dingdong dog. Holds him, scolds him and whopps his butt a few whacks for being a "Bad Dog". I've seen him with dogs....no way he went too far. This kid would have me stop and try to catch strays on the road since he was a teeny guy....Pop, we gotta call the owners to re-unite them. We had quite a few that were successful.

Well, Someone called the cops on them for animal abuse....said 4 cop cars show up. (probably 1, He can exaggerate) They take my kid and his buddys names/info.

My kid explains to the cops what happened....tells the cop maybe he should let the caller/complainant know that a bad dog usually ends up a dead dog.

Would that person rather see the dog hit by a car???

Went and saw a beautiful 3000sq ft lake house with 135 ft of shore front on a half acre with a huge 3 car garage and dock that is in our budget. Really it would only increase our mortgage by $200 a month vs our 1500sq ft shit kicker rambler in Lynnwood.

The wife keeps coming up with reasons not to buy it. "Its too much to clean" "The yard needs a fence" "Its too nice for us" "It's got too much carpet" (hello you married a floor guy honey!) Our starter house needed work when we bought it. So we worked and made it nicer. I'm seriously beating my head against the wall right now. So fucking frustrated! It's a dream house and all she can do is say why we shouldn't have our dream.
