Got an offer on our house for nearly $20k over ask. Pisses me off because it's a contingent offer. Seller of the house we have a contingent offer on just got a non-contingent offer and if we don't have our house under contract in 5 days we lose the binding contract on their house. Fuck! Selling a house is maddening! We're supposed to be so happy to let people come invade our personal space on an hours notice so that the fucking real estate agents can make $30k on the transaction. Yay! So much fun!

Yay! So much fun! PM sent... Tell the offerer they have 3 days, or forget it. If they jumped that fast, then you can get other offers, so a sale is obtainable this summer.... 3 days gives a day or so for them to get financing to move quickly. Remember, in a hot market, everyone is slammed, realtors, loan brokers, lenders, appraisers.... Unless there is a threat of losing a deal, and money, your file is in a pile on multiple desks.. Squeaky wheel gets the attention, and you need your potentional buyer to squeal like Z66 at a shoe store for kids....

Ouch.
Yeah, it's shocking how much it costs for the average joe to ship some of these packages. I know I tend to start thinking that shipping is cheap, with the big retailers all shipping for free or for very little money . . . but then when I ship something like that, I figure out quickly where the money gets made.

I've stopped sending Christmas gifts. The shipping usually cost more than the gifts. Sometimes returning a faulty product is not worth it for the shipping costs.

Yeah, I run up $2K a month in UPS Next Day Air charges to send frozen fish samples. The company pays for it, but it still blows my mind how much it costs for a small box. The larger boxes I send are $300+ each.

Number portability.
I ported 2 numbers, from the same carrier...
1 took 15 minutes, the other is in lala-land, and it's been 3 days..
I must have called 6 or 7 times after having been promised 'it'll be within the hour'...
Now I'm being told the other company is closed on the weekends, and wait until tomorrow.. WTF.

Not really pissed off, but I can't believe there are jack asses that try to get away with this shit. I have a kayak for sale here, and CL. Duche says he will send me a cashiers check with extra money for a "mover" to pick it up. Said "No", and cash at Lacey PD E-commerce lot. So far crickets. Phone number is AZ https://usphonecheck.com/whos-phone/480-439-0910Feel free to text him to death.

I'm back up fishing, but I'm on the company's little boat. It's only 125' compared to the 170' one I usually run. I used to run this boat years ago and I forgot how freaking much this thing rolls side to side. It's hardly even blowing out N20 but it feels like we're in a raging storm. Don't know how many times I woke up on my last sleep shift sliding across the mattress. I also don't know why they made the bed 3 1/2' off the deck, other than to get 4 deep drawers under it. You'd think this boat wouldn't roll so much being 40' wide, the 170' is only 34' and rides so much better than this one.
