It's the Wife's Birthday today and we were scheduled to go up North to Angel of the Winds Casino and stay the night. Wifey WILL get her Seafood Buffet and her night on the town come hell or high water.
(Steve Graciously offered to take my place though) Thanks Buddy.![]()
I convinced the ER staff to let me go home with a bottle Hydrocodone and a promise to get to a Hospital if it comes back, though i think a roll in the Hay is out of the question tonight.

Ouch!
Let's see, Diverticulitis, according to the Mayo Clinic:
Risk factors-
Several factors may increase your risk of developing diverticulitis:
Aging. The incidence of diverticulitis increases with age.
Obesity. Being seriously overweight increases your odds of developing diverticulitis.
Smoking. People who smoke cigarettes are more likely than nonsmokers to experience diverticulitis.
Lack of exercise. Vigorous exercise appears to lower your risk of diverticulitis.
Diet. Diet high in animal fat and low in fiber. A low-fiber diet in combination with a high intake of animal fat seems to increase risk, although the role of low fiber alone isn't clear.
Certain medications. Several drugs are associated with an increased risk of diverticulitis, including steroids, opioids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) and naproxen sodium (Aleve)..
---
So, one that pops out is Diet high in animal fat and low in fiber. A low-fiber diet in combination with a high intake of animal fat seems to increase risk, although the role of low fiber alone isn't clear.
Sounds Iike it's time to sell the Traeger & buy an Oatmeal Maker![]()

Always. Only bad bacon is turkey bacon, and that's not bacon anyway.

Started drinking straight Evan Williams which didn't help him out much. Bottle a day.
Lied to the doctor, said he didn't drink.
Doctor had him on prednisone and, coumadin, and something else, he kept drinking more........
Called me up and said he needed to have a colostomy.
Told him he needed to get a second opinion and tell the doctor how much he was drinking so he could help him with the diagnosis.
Kept his mouth shut and won a colostomy bag.
