Probably TMI but......
My nose is dripping like a faucet and I keep gacking up large amounts of phlegm. Going to the doctor tomorrow, had pneumonia before but I don't think that's it. Hope there is an industrial strength prescription anti-histamine or antibiotic that can cure this, it's getting ridiculous. I can't even drive anywhere without bringing a spit cup. Tried over the counter anti-histamines and Guaifenesin (as recommended by my doc cousin and consulting nurse) to no avail. Uh boy......

How long has this thing been leaking in front of my house? No one knows. It was buried when I bought the place 10 years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Our water main sprung a leak twice, finally had the whole thing replaced from meter to garage. I freak out if we have more water in front of our house than the neighbors do.

I will probably have to do that eventually. For now I replaced that valve with a fitting and ran pex the rest of the way. It doesn't really show in the picture but that valve was just past arms length at the bottom of the hole. There was a concrete pipe above it to provide access but someone filled it in with bricks and dirt. I had to dig it out with a small shovel, breaking the pipe into chucks as I went.

My ground is so porous, and the main is so far down I didn't notice till the water company shut me off. $6k worth of water.

I go to a different forum for some very specific advice about a very specific subject. Namely, wood burning stoves.
I lay out what I wanna do, why I don't wanna buy a pre-made super expensive model, and ask for suggestions.
I'll be damned if most of the suggestions aren't 'you're gonna kill yourself' when I've already explained in detail why that's not gonna happen, and 'you need to buy that super expensive thing you said didn't meet your needs'.
Fuck.
I guess free advice is worth what you pay for.
