Dealing with incompetent and untrustworthy people in all walks of life.

I'm selling a house out-of-state and relying on people there. The former property manager was incompetent and cost me a lot of money. His realtor was incompetent and cost me a lot of money. New realtor is pretty good but a little shady and one person on his staff is incompetent. Example.

I said I would only hire him if he could get my house sold fast at X dollars. He gave his great sale pitch and agreed. First thing we did was lower the price another $12,000.... GRRRRRR I'm not particularly happy with that move. But I'm not in a position to fight it...

There's a cracked window identified 2 weeks ago that needs replacing. They have a handyman who quoted $250 to fix it. I know it's an Anderson with a 20 year warranty so the window is covered and I called Anderson to confirm they would warranty it. They need the tag ID from it. A week ago, I asked the closing coordinator for the window tag. It's really easy to find. But... She couldn't find it... Days went by. She had the handyman look. He couldn't find it. That means he's either inept or conflicted due to not wanting to find it as he'd lose income. It's been about a week since I've asked for a simple piece of information. I'm suspecting I'm getting screwed over there, again.
