Wife and I stopped in at Tacoma Sizzler ( yeah, I know some of you think it is a shit box) we paid at 7:15pm, were seated and server made contact immediatly. 7:40 still no steak. The wife goes to the mgr and asks "Did you have to kill the cow?. 7:46 the mgr approaches our table with copious appologies and $25 in comps. The steaks arrive while she is appologizing.The steaks were cooked to perfection.
Yes, it pissed me off, but the server was great and got a good tip. She could not serve until the meat was cooked. the meat could not be cooked until the cashier, who was the mgr, posted the order.
All in all it turned out good.

Run my card. Declined. WTF? I know there is plenty of money in there to cover $7 worth of energy drink and sandwich. Go home, log into my account and see that everything is down for "system maintenance." Apparently that includes fucking cards not working. Goddamned assholes.

I agree, treat others how you want to be treated. Them shit heads watch the clock to go home like everyone else....that has a job. Deep down inside everyone knows better. Sorry you have to deal with rude people. I won't go into a restaurant less than an hour before closing. You might be keeping a good citizen from obtaining the much needed rest before a New Years shoot, causing him to flake! And he might just have the gun you wanted to try out... Lol

I flipped burgers for 2 days when I was 15. Thats how long it took me to learn that food service what the last thing on this planet I would ever do for a living. I would rather shovel horse shit. It is truly a thankless job that people don't appreciate.

I had two of those jobs telemarketing and jiffy lube didn't make it back from lunch on either one.

Using "Overdrive" and the King County Library:
One must have a computer science degree to understand how to download and read the books. I stumbled around in the past and accidentally opened and read a couple of books, but to deliberately select, download and be able to read a book is still beyond me.

Install Overdrive...check!
check out ebook...check!
download ebook..... here's where they go off the tracks and take me with them...
-WHY must you download the title after performing the previous two steps? Isn't obvious that I want to download the title I JUST checked out?

Then it says: "select download format" uh... I just downloaded Overdrive! but NONE of the formats mention OVERDRIVE!!!

so, I randomly choose one of the formats offered: Adobe PDF (a name I recognize).... poof!
-"This title is not available in that format on Overdrive"!!!??!
Go back to KCLS. I can't choose the other download now, nor is there a way to return the title and start all over again.

Observations:
In the time I have spent trying to get set up to read the book, I could have DRIVEN to the library, checked the book out and READ it cover-to-cover.
The computer is supposed to be a labor SAVING device; I bet if all of the hours I, and everyone across the nation, has spent trying to figure out how to use AND/OR how to fix computers and their problems....
...if all of those hours were devoted to curing cancer.... we'd have had a cure a decade ago.

Ya, today pretty much fucking sucked.

This shipment was supposed to arrive at my facility on 12/29, but was delayed due to weather and rescheduled for the 30th, then the 31st. The three machines were slated for installation at my customers on 1/4 as they opened their new office for the first time post remodel. The machines never showed on the 31st, and after calling my rep for the 3rd time I was told it might be lost.

Well as of yesterday, I had a pissed off customer, an IT tech and two delivery drivers with now a three hour hole in their schedule. Literally about five hours after ordering more full units today and getting shipping confirmation with another company, my warehouse doorbell rang and guess what showed up? There is a completely smashed metal pallet (the ones I PIF) under the blue shrink wrapped boxes sitting on top of a wooden pallet.

If this was boxes of clothing or household goods that would be one thing, but these are $9k+ copy machines that are pretty much giant computers. Filing freight claims also suck.
