Well, we found the cat. Alive, safe, and stupid as ever. Only took 8 hours or so of my wife freaking out and making me scour the neighborhood. Maybe I can get some goddamned sleep now.

maybe this belongs in the "Made my Day" section...but for the fact that I lost some sleep....
a week ago there was a horrific cat fight under my bedroom window (over the driveway)... awoke and shined a light...sound stopped and I couldn't see the combatants.
Next day I looked out and behind my truck appeared to be a bunch of garbage strewn about...a closer inspection revealed a cat's collar and a good majority of its fur....
later in the week a sign appeared tacked to the stop sign at the end of the street describing a missing cat of the same coloring as the aforementioned stripped fur....
Called the lady and informed her of her (probable) loss. That sucked. She got all choked up.

IF you keep them in the house. I also like song birds and not finding my garden used as their litter box. RESPONSIBLE pet ownership is a virtue.

That being said... I'm stuck with three of the fuzzy bastards and someone here is owned by one I rescued from the dump:

One morning I let Cyrus out, and a few minutes later heard him yowling up a storm. Go outside, and he's sitting under the steps with a dead bird in his mouth. He sees me, and literally throws it at me before darting off somewhere.

Maybe I can get some goddamned sleep now. Glad you found the cat. I know the couple of times that Hank has gone missing, my boys have completely freaked out, it's not a pleasant few hours (or even minutes) until the idiot is found. Hank isn't even really keen on escaping, so it's usually a case of him wandering out onto the front porch and having the door shut behind him. Have a conversation with the brother-in-law. Not worth the mental or emotional stress on you or your wife if the BIL is going to constantly ignore what are house rules. Your house, your rules, he either follows them or finds a new place to live.

You do know that almost everyone pays way more in interest on the mortgage, vs what they save on the mortgage credit right?

First ever speeding ticket.... I was doing 5 over. He passed me the opposite direction, turned around and lit me up and claims he tagged me doin 14 over....how the hell does that work.
Do we by chance have any Professional ticket Raiders here by chance? I'm kind of curious because on this ticket it says that the premise was on the highway even though it was on a city street and nowhere near the highway
