Tried the new "Cosmic Crisp" apple today. It's like they finally fingered out how to make Red Delicious apples crispy. Not bad. Smol core/seeds. Right amount of tart.

Supposed to be all about the shelf life, right?

They were promoting up to a year, but early reviews are saying they'll stay good in your fridge for 6 months icon_eek

Finally got my hummingbird feeders up today...they hadn't been out for a few months due to our remodel.

I stuck one in front of a camera and within an hour had one, and then at least 5 more before dark!

They haven't abandoned me even though I abandoned them for a while.

Apples don't belong in the refrigerator. (hurt my teeth).

Wonder what kind of Chernobyl-monkey DNA they're crossed with to get the extended half-life.

My wife just hung her first feeder since we took to the road.
Hadn't seen any here up until she hung the feeder, now we have one daily HB coming in.

Been outta the loop for a couple or more months and see this!!!! As a hard core car guy/racer/builder and tech that got outta the game because of the penis thumping and expense, I couldn't count very many people on that thread that stepped back for a moment to remember their age. I did that shit in highschool while trying to huff industrial nitrous and measuring our dick size on a Saturday night, back in the late seventies and early eighties.

BTW the apples you are buying in the store now are kept stored in an inert gas and are already about a year old when they hit the grocery store.

My neighbor called me up yesterday looking for advice for his furnace not working --- fired up, but no fan blower action.... He said Sundance wanted $200 just to come out and look and he had already found a replacement fan for $300 - he was already starting to search youtube for more info.... I told him - just as a guess from all the vids I've been watching and common sense - that the problem was more than likely the start capacitor on the fan and told him to go look at the 'Words of Advice' guy's vids on youtube. I also offered to go down and take a look at it and help, but he declined. Got a text from him ~1:00 today saying that he pulled the cap and went down to McLendons - came back with a new cap for $4, plugged it in and all is fine and good again! He said there would be a six pack for saving him so much $$$ --- he was ready to buy the replacement fan for $300 before I told him it was more than likely the cap.... had he had Sundance come out to fix it, it would have been easily $350+ for the call, and they very easily could have talked them into a new furnace, which they were already considering (they are of that mindset of 'its 10+ years old, better replace rather than spend some money on it' type of people).

Felt good to be able to point him in the right direction and give him the confidence to do it himself!

:ROFLMAO: Apples cause global warming...

Check out Controlled Atmosphere Storage.

Do the storage facilities reclaim the gas that can be 40% Carbon Dioxide or more?

Idiot anti-carbon freaks get wind of this.......shiiiiiiiiit!
