And cooking is mostly fun to me. But......................... Exactly why the "Ima work a few more years after you retire honey" is not happening. She planned on me doing EVERYTHING at home. That is a whole lotta NOPE right there.

I went up and helped my neighbor load an engine block and clapped out motorcycle into his truck for a dump run.... he was getting rid of an old IR parabolic heater too - he asked me if I wanted it.... looked kinda dirty and sketchy, but I took it anyways thinking I could just toss it if it didn't work.... Damn thing works great! I've been wanting a heat source for the garage to shake the chill off while I'm out there for quite a while --- keep thinking kerosene barrel heater, but thats problematic in the garage and big to store for such little use.... This IR works pretty well set ~8 ft from the work bench --- even on low it throws enough heat to warm up my legs and take the chill off. I'm sure it will work even better when set to hi.... I'm sure the time will come soon when I try it out.
Also scored a pair of magnesium corvette rims --- why? I'm not sure.... I was thinking I can use them as plant stands to replace the wood rounds that rotted out.... but I hated to see them go to the dump. They'd even make a cool little planter.... tho it may look a bit 'nascar redneck'....
He's got another full set of corvette magnesium rims with good/great tires too if anyone is looking for a set.....

Going to look at a clean 2018 Yamaha T8, long shaft outboard for my boat tonight. I have a 2004 XL shaft T8 that is really mismatched for my transom and hangs too low in the water.

Those are the people the state wants on the jury

My mom was going through a bunch of my grandfather's military stuff and came across some medals he earned while he was in the Air Force. Two that stood out to me were his Distinguished Flying Cross, and a medal he earned from the Chinese Air Force for services during WWII. Aparently the USAF ran some missions on behalf of the Chinese military against Japan. It was cool to see some of the historical photos and things from his time in the service.

Wow...see if you can find the written citation that describes why it was awarded. That would be really cool if you could find it.

Packing for duck hunting trip tomorrow made my day. Returning to the Peoples Republic of WA state. Potholes Res. Oldest son and his buddy are meeting me there at Mardon resort for some shot shell hunting. 4 year old lab will retrieve for us. The 8 month old will stay back at Mardon with mama this year. She's not quite trained yet. Mama will have her training dummy for the lake though. She'll get worked while older sister is retrieving ducks on the dunes.

Contributed to Mitch McConnell's Senate Leadership Fund. Team Red is going to need funds to counterbalance all the bullshit out-of-state liberal donors spending big in the George run-off races. Republican's just need to win one of the two run-off races in Georgia to maintain a slim Senate majority and bury the worst of Biden's legislative agenda. https://www.senateleadershipfund.org/Also contributed to the National Republican Senatorial Committee as well https://www.nrsc.org/
