Just got done with my white blood cell donation. Only took 3 hours once they got me hooked up to the machine
After weeks and months of blood draws and paperwork it’s mostly over. They do another blood draw in six months just to make sure I’m not carrying anything

I know this sounds silly, but tell him--in lots of ways, lots of times--how much you admire his determination to accomplish the mile swim. So that he knows that the next time he tries something really challenging, Dad will be there for him whether or not he accomplishes the feat. Maybe you already do this, in which case, bravo. FWIW, of my three boys, only Sam could properly do a mile swim--well, has done it. The two younger ones took swim lessons for a couple of summers at Edgebrook, in Bellevue, but because of their interdependence (one won't do something without the other, or one won't do something with the other--it's a love/hate thing) neither really progressed past swimming laps. Your son appears to be younger than my youngest (13) by a bit, so good on you and his mother.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Good on you, Scott. I've never been able to do anything but whole blood donation b/c of my sh*tty tiny rolling veins--you can get one side started, but the other side will invariably promptly crap out. As a huge proponent of volunteer blood and plasma donation, as well as living liver and kidney donation and of course bone marrow donation, I applaud you. More people donating=more people living normal (or relatively normal) lives. Obligatory PSA: Yes, you can totally donate a third or more of your liver to a matched recipient and in six months, both of you will have normal sized, fully functioning livers. It's a thing. Same for registering as a living kidney donor--you give one of your healthy kidneys to a matched recipient, your body shrugs and the remaining kidney steps up its efficiency. Or maybe you have three or more kidneys! Also a thing. Not super common but way more common than one would think--two do most of the work, and the plural kidneys just kind of hang out until they're needed.

Well at least the older two. The younger two at almost 3 and 10 months just get I love you all the time.

My girlfriend got new shoes Order no bun, lettuce as bun.. You'll cut 2g fat, 240mg of sodium, and 5g sugar. Then you can get a lg fry instead of a medium...

I've seen two ladies join WaGuns this week. Seeing another tonight made my day.
Also, seeing my wife use the Mantis-X in her dry fire practice, and get excited about her improvement was great to see. She's been doing dry fire practice every day for the past couple of weeks. Makes me happy! Especially when she can see a graph of improvement, and I can sit back and say "Good job, that's great!"
