Just got back from three days at Staircase. Lots of fun, but tough with a dog. Always have to be leashed up and have to drive to dog friendly trails. Lots of hiking around Lake Cushman though. My 8 yo son loves hiking and loves to take the lead and push the tempo. I think between my wife and I he did 15 miles. I got three tired kids and a dog that hadn't moved much since we got home. We did get a warning about how our cooler isn't bear proof enough. But neither are their dumpsters...however not worth the argument. Still a great time.

My daughter graduated this year, too. BUT she has decided to not attend the ceremonies. Found a great deal on a rifle I had been contemplating. So, I am now a JM stamped Marlin lever action owner. It's chambered in the odd-ball .444 Marlin, but the cool thing, I think, is that the boolits are the same .429" diameter as the venerable .44 Rem. Mag.
