June sets new all time record with over 3,900,000 NICS checks.
That's over 1 per second, and more than 1% of the entire US population!!!!! In a month!
Guess some people have come to the realization that if they defund the police, gonna have to protect themselves.

Some of those 1st-time buyers are panic buying. I have friend that works at a hardware/gun store that has had people ask if the can return their guns.

July 4th 2020, from the time it got dark until 11~12.
It was the quietest it's ever been since I've lived here in Auburn.
I'm only a few miles from the Muckelshoot's where all the fireworks stands are.

Fireworks here from before 9pm until well after one am.

Not just firecrackers. Fireworks! All over. Just like that video in California.

Went to Costco today, put a new pair of batteries in my truck.
From the date code they were 12 years old!
Only $200 for the pair. Not bad for the piece of mind gained when you know you have good batteries.
Have AAA, but don't want to wait around for two hours for someone to show up for a jump.
At MS I told my employees I'd jump them once, but they could come in 2 hours late the next day to go out and buy a battery.

Yessir. I've had good luck with Costco batteries. Mine are $90 a piece for my truck. Been about 5 years cranking over my Cummins without any issues. Send people there when I can for batteries.

I have a junk drawer (we all do...).

Mine happens to be my bottom dresser drawer.
It didn't start out as a junk drawer. Originally, it was for my holsters I rarely used/needed.
Eventually, it started picking up bits and baubles of my other hobbies too, as well little projects that wouldn't require full access to my workbench and items I didn't necessarily have a permanent home for but didn't yet want to get rid of for some obscure reason or another..

Well, today I went looking for my Galco holster and mag pouch for my Kimber.

Upon opening the drawer, I am greeted with the most amazing sight I can recall seeing in this particular little hidey hole.

Apparently, back in the good old days when ammo was plentiful and cheap, I had picked up this box at my local wally world.

Mrs. Sparky came across it while straightening up the living room one day and rather than take it to my man cave, she just dumped it in my junk drawer.

I should probably dig a little deeper to see if there's anything else hiding in there, like a winning lotto ticket?

I always buy my car/truck batteries at Costco, never been disappointment.
Motorcycle batteries online.
5th wheel batteries, I get deep cycle blems at Interstate in Everett for 1/2 price.

But ya, don't fuck around with dead batteries.
Just not worth the hassle.

It took me a while but I found what I was looking for.
I have a streaming box that gets me every thing I want. It just might take me a while to find it though. Still, worth the time and effort.
So, what I found was the complete series of China Beach.

Gonna start watching maybe tonight. :thumbsup2:
