About ten last night, we started having freakish high winds.

Have had heavy rain off and on a couple days, but it started steady last night about that same time.

High winds lasted until almost noon today. Heavy, steady rain lasted a few hours longer.

Now here's the thing... I went to bed shortly before the winds started.

When the winds started, I prayed that God would protect me, my house, and my vehicles.

Some time after 11pm, it sounded like someone had dropped a volkswagen on my house, right over my head, where I was laying in bed.

Today I went out to find that a tree had fallen. It hit another tree, and broke, on the way down.

Part of that fallen tree hit my house. Didn't make a scratch on the house or roof. But part of it broke off, and hit the ground on one side of the house. And another, equal size part exploded into a thousand pieces and rained on the ground on the other side of the house. Kind of like my roof was made of solid iron.

The rest of the tree, busted into about 7 pieces from two feet long, to 9 feet long. Most of them on the longer side. And they all fell........ Right beside my truck. Within inches. Didn't touch the truck. (IMPOSSIBLE. Completely impossible for this to happen. I can't take pictures that would explain it well enough. But I can tell you, that CANNOT happen. All of those pieces had to have been directly aimed to land on the back of my truck. It directly bisects the line from the tree, to my house, where the tree hit. The line completely bisects the truck. Yet they changed direction, mid-air, clumped up, and fell like they had been bunched and laid on the ground in a bunch.)

Ok, that's enough to make my day. Well, my night was just made as well.

I just found out that everyone for about a mile on both sides of me... Have been without electricity since 11 last night. Still off.

Not even a flicker here.

How does that possibly happen?

I don't have a more direct line to the source of power than they do. If their lines are down, mine should be too....

I'm getting power from dead lines...

Some kinda grace going on here.... Just sayin....

Take it however you will. I'm just stating the facts.

Keep the faith Jeff. Or in other words, enjoy what you can, when you can.

Depredation permits are a go! Getting them in my hand Monday.

Bad news - I need more freezer space.

He’s not leaving the perch and it’s 50 yards to the fence line where they typically hang out. 30yds from the hot tub. He’s pulling out a rifle with a suppressor.

Hmmm...integrally suppressed rifled shotgun.
Thanks!

I was able to get away for a day of hunting near Yakima with a good buddy of mine. We ended up with a nice little mixed bag, and the game dinner with our two families is set. It was my kind of Sunday!

Crows are usually thrown in the dumpster.

But hey, I'm not judging.

The number of times left to report to work is 8 days. Yeah I have some work at home days. But less than 10 days left after working over 40 years. Man it's like a miracle, only harder. :ROFLMAO: :rofl9:  :wagwoot:

This is gonna be good!!

It is good Pablo! Every day is Saturday, although you will soon find you forget what day it is without the prison of M-F working for a living

Pablo, watch out for the following. You'll hear things like:
"Honey, could you do ___ and ___, I know you've got the time."
