Shucks Auto Supply in Ballard, circa 1994 The big receptacle was full so people just dumped their oil near it or on the ground. When I went there, was a 20 foot lake of oil a couple inches deep.

If Kyle was involved, I'm not surprised it worked out. Hearing he comes from good stock, is even less of a surprise. Glad it worked out Will have to search my pea brain for something else to give Kyle grief about

Took a friend to the range to shoot for the first time.
She had recently moved from Seattle to Mukilteo and has a lot of gun owning neighbors... and instead of freaking out, was super curious.
Had her over to my place for a safety briefing- had my “scary black rifle” and a few pistols on the table and instead of recoiling in horror, she was like “whoa, what’s that? Looks really awesome”.
Eased her in with shooting a .22 pistol, and had her shoot my g17 with my low recoil reloads.
Before the shooting session ended, I had her shoot my suppressed G17 and her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.
So, she’s now hooked, looking forward to shooting and asking me if it’s ok to bring kids to the range (she has a 10 year old who has classmates who shoot/parents shoot and is asking a lot of questions). Says that the parents in Seattle vs Lynnwood are completely different (highly PC vs blunt/straightforward)... even the teachers.
I made it a point to share with her the importance of educating kids on gun safety, especially with play dates and what not.
So, I got a new person on our team and a potential young ‘un on the way to understanding more about gun safety/personal responsibility.
This is a huge win for me as I’ve regrettably had to cut loose long term friends who have jumped on the “no civilian should own assault rifles” bandwagon after the Florida shooting, and by association, have made me out to be the devil or some shit like that.
