I went off Guntrader's $5.99 Super Slam, which is also what you replied to.

The last time a Grand Slam was $2.99, according to Google, was for Black Friday back in 2010.

The fact that you're still not over the price increase surprises no one.

Maybe start a business & understand.

You can't even go to a store & buy the ingredients for $2.99

You DO realize I'm at that age where I reserve the right to say 'back in my day' right? I still remember when gas was 89 cents a gallon, and parenting was 'here's a nickel, call me if anything happens or you need to be picked up, be back before the street lighta are on' and you knew every road, street, and alleyway in your town by the time you were 12... And once you used the 5 cents on bubble gum, you'd make a collect call home.. 'you have a collect call from flower and houston, do you accept the charges?'...'No' :bigsmile:. .and your mom knew you rode your bike too far to get home before dark and knew exactly where to pick you up... I remember when a dollar menu was expensive.. Mcdonalds hamburgers were 39 cents and cheeseburgers were 49 cents..

So...

GET OFF MY LAWN!

(and I'm still right, no one said inflation doesn't occur)

:rofl9: :ROFLMAO:

I didn't think you were that old TW. :bigsmile:

My first job I was paid minimum wage.. $4.25/hr.

Frim walmart. Com

Dozen eggs = $1.28
Sausages = $2.98 for 14
Bisquick = $2.28 for 14 pancakes
1 lb bacon =$2. 98

So.. That equals $9.52

The limit here is the eggs, so 6 slams.. And food left over for the cook...

$9.52 /6 = $1.58 per Slam... And that's at full retail pricing.. Not taking into account the discounts ordering in bulk.

Yes, I know that is just supply cost, but I have proven you wrong once again. Lol

You absolutely can feed someone 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 pancakes, and 2 pieces of bacon, for less than $2.99 each. It's almost half that...

You've got to argue everything to the death, don't you?

My point was, you can't go and buy everything to make a slam for $2.99

And you proved my point.

You would have to go to cheap-ass Walmart, and spend $9.52 (plus tax, which you omitted, plus gas in your 5 ton), to make a grand slam.

Then, you want to mitigate the cost by saying how many Slams you could make.

But if you're going to nit-pik like that, figure in your cooking expenses, gas, electric, etc.

In the end, if your biggest bitch is the price of a Slam has gone up, you're doing okay...

And if you have time to research prices on the Internet, you must be safe, too, which is also good :thumbsup2:

My first job was selling newspapers on the street @ 8yr old. Paper sold for $.25 of which I got to keep $.08 +tips

And all the pay phones I my home town were 747-99## so all you had to do was click out the last two numbers Morse code style and your folks could just call you back.

Come to think of it, wasn’t til I was in high school that you had to even dial the 747 part....

Taking a contingency offer on the condo after the first two clowns fell out, then getting full price+ offers and about to hit the bump button.

Nobody knows. It's been a mystery for centuries. If anyone ever finds out, the very electrons will be torn from every atom in the universe.

The amount of money some companies pay in per diem, I believe they expect for employees I find $5.99 breakfasts. If you’re traveling to a major metro area, you’re very unlikely to find that. I’m glad I don’t have to deal with that.
