Well, now that the 6 acres we were going to build on finally sold, I can tell the whole story of what went on with that for 1.5 years.
Everything happens for a reason. We absolutely love the home we bought last year and thankful that the property nightmare is over! What was her ultimate angle? Full and controlling rights to the water? Or just a Boston lawyer trying to one up, set some precedence for western water rights?

We would lease the well water from her and she controlled how many in our household would have access to water (no more than 7, must be related)] LOL! I ran that shared well agreement up the chain of command at MT DEQ. They agreed it was ridiculous but said they don't get involved in shared well agreements. Most are 1 page long. Hers was 9 pages with all sorts of conditions.

The easement road to access well was on our property, and DEQ had the plat map with well on her side. Now she has her own easement road as we have our own well location so she cannot access the well from our property.

Got the email notice from Texas Motor Speedway that our family tickets for the upcoming NASCAR race on October 25th are ready (seats are assigned). Fall weather has been really nice recently and looking forward to a pleasant day at the track soaking in all the engine noise Been a long time since I've been to a NASCAR race.

Our grandkids are visiting from the Dallas area this week in addition to the one we are raising ourselves. So we have a total of six of the varmints roaming around the house right now.
Just booked an archery lesson for the four older grandkids for tomorrow evening at a local archery shop with indoor range. They are all new to archery and looking forward to sharing this experience with them. When you introduce kids to a new sport, you never know where that path will eventually lead. Maybe it will lead to a lifelong enjoyment of the sport.
