A Kelso funeral home will be on probation for one year and must pay a $12,500 fine after Washington state investigators concluded its funeral home employee mixed up two men's bodies, which ended with one man mistakenly cremated and the second man in the casket of the first man's funeral. http://www.komonews.com/news/local/Kels ... 14001.html

I read the story. Am I going to Hell for laughing?

If I'm not mistaken, this actually involved/affected someone (father) on WAGUN or TOS. Could have happened to anyone of us, not very funny.

I was laughing at the situation as a whole. Nothing more.

You guys already think I'm an asshole.
And I am.
Besides, I don't care what people think of me. If I did.... I'd be a mod.

Jerry Moon was the father of Brian (drkside45). When this first happened there was a lot of discussion on the boards about it. Everyone makes mistakes. IIRC the biggest issue that made this situation so abhorrent was that the funeral home tried to cover up their mistake. When the casket was opened and the family realized there was a mistake and spoke to an employee of the funeral home they tried to deny it and tell the family that they were the ones that were mistaken. I talked to Brian about this a couple of months ago when we met up to do a deal. The funeral home was completely unapologetic about the whole thing, not even having the decency to apologize to the families. An incredibly traumatic event was made 100x worse by the actions of those responsible. I think the probation and fine they got may make some restitution towards the screw up that was made. But I think the funeral home should have to pay a much heftier sum to the families for their response to the situation. Not that money takes away the pain of the loss or the BS the families was unnecessarily out through by the funeral home but it could be put to use for a nice memorial for the lost or in some other possible way. I'm sorry for your loss Brian, I hope that now that the state has issued their findings you and your family can begin to put this behind you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This ruling makes the family's lawsuit a slam dunk.

Yes, one of members was the mans son. Very sad situation. I know both of the brothers and I am glad the funeral home was found at fault!
