I personally think they should be banned from posting ads on this site! Everytime I see a brick of .22LR being sold for $50-$80 it's just pisses me off and boils my blood!. It's fucking bullshit! Especially when there's good, honest people out there that are trying to introduce shooting to new people or take our kids out on the weekends and introduce this great hobby to them. These hoarders need to have a rope tied to their testicles and dragged around the parking lot at Cabelas! What a bunch of jerkoffs! Please stop buying from these idiots people!!!

I sometimes have a hard time keeping my fingers off the keyboard in those ads. Ain't that right Madpick?

I like to give good deals Like CCI 41 primers Cheap (which are now all spoken for I believe)

The OP mentioned that $50/brick is gouging. OK, let's assume that this is true for . . . say, CCI Blazer. How about $45? 40? 35? 30? Hell, even $25 seems ridiculous to me; I expect to pay $17 or so.

What's the magic number between gouging and not gouging for CCI Blazer? Your number is different than mine, and it's different than the next guy's.

Then let's have the same conversation about Mini-Mags, Thunderbolt, Federal bulk, Golden Bullets, and on and on and on and on. After we've had a two-week workshop to figure all of that out, then we'll start talking about what a black Gen 3 Glock 19 should cost. And then the OD version. Then Gen 4. Then the Glock 17 . . . .

All Glocks should be $500. :)

If you have a source for sub-$50 500 round bricks of .22LR that are currently in stock and available for purcahse then by all means please post it. If not, then the market is where the market is at regardless of what you, me or anyone else thinks it should be at.

Can you define "hoarding" for me? Is that having more then 1 afternoons worth of ammo on hand or did you have something more tangible?

9mm carbines are pretty low recoil for people learning to shoot, or was your point that you just want cheaper ammo? If that's beyond what you want to spend or 9mm is too much recoil, try a quality pellet rifle. Ive got a crappy Chinese one that the kids shoot on occassion, keeps them entertained and doesn't cost much at all to shoot.

Why didn't you buy a lot more ammo inbetween '08 and '12 when it came back from being unobtainable after the elections to being available and cheap right up until after Sandy Hook?

You have to jump on the deals when they present themselves, just like everything else in the world. I think I've bought 4 bricks of 22lr from Cabelas now and had them shipped to Boise for a friend who cannot find any ammo locally. I find plenty in the Puget Sound, but I use gun stuff search engines daily, gun-deals.com and slickguns.com, and a walmart ammo app a couple times a week if I have time to go buy some after work.

You can't build an ammo fort if you're shooting up all your ammo.

If some rim licking ass junkie has the nuts to post a brick, of everyday 22 ammo, for anything over $10-15 what the bug fucker pay for a couple hours ago at the store, fuck em an stuff em hard.
It's the lack of open, and public, negative reinforcement that keeps these assholes alive to keep posting. Let the masses publicly ridicule them openly. One of 2 things will happen, the price will come down or they will find another forum to rape people and look like a royal zit.
If we can slam fuck some ammo rapist openly, prices will come down a whole helluva lot faster.
There's been a couple guys here buying ammo and selling at cost, would be nice seeing more do it.
