Unknown, but it certainly would be approached with caution. They'll get called out, and I'll demand to know what they're doing there. I have no doubt that a light will be shined in my eyes. At that point, I can't see. Shoot the light, end the fight.

You need you an EagleTac with them 1200 lumen LEDs. They are good shit. You should't be the first one flashed.

How about you breeders keep your goddamned kids off my grass and out of my shit and there won't be a problem to begin with, huh?

Seriously though, I know and like my neighbors. They are more than welcome to come into my yard or home with my permission especially in the event one of their children is missing. And they would always ask due to our mutual respect for each other. However, the local PD are not my neighbors. They can wait on the porch or fuck off and get a search warrant.

What do you think the cops response will be when he sees you with a gun in your hand? This is a tragedy in the making that could be easily prevented by knocking on a door and asking permission.

Interestingly, this exact scenario happened last year, and actually right around this time of year, when something (gunfire and a woman screaming, I think) was called in to the BPD. I awoke to both the motion sensitive lights in my backyard on (my bedroom faces the backyard, and those lights are bright S.O.B.'s) and the sound of male voices underneath my window. Lily and Norman (both inside with me at the time) were not reacting to the noise or the lights, so I wasn't on high alert. I just opened my bedroom window, saw BPD officers and a K-9 unit, yelled down to the officers, was told that I should keep my dogs inside because of the K-9 unit, was asked if I had heard screaming or gunfire, responded in the negatory, and the officers thanked me for my time, apologised for waking me up, and left my backyard.

I don't know. I guess that I collect all available information (e.g., Norman and Lily's lack of alarm) before making the presumption that someone is out to do me or mine harm. And yes, they could have knocked on my door (and for all I know, they did) but I'm a heavy sleeper, so that's rather irrelevant.

If You are willing to accept that kind of action By The Police on private property once, they will assume that it is alright everytime. Never let them assume anything and be willing to back it up with a Warrant....This is America You Are Living In......You should have raised a fuss and reported their action to the higher ups....They will hold You to the Letter of the Law, You Must be willing to do the same to Them!!!! "Those who Give Up Freedom For Security, Deserve Neither"....They work for US!!!! Not the other way around. Police seem to think
they are above the Law, and not a part of it...Period!!!!

In this case, if there was "gunfire and a woman screaming," then the situation is different . . . and quite possibly acceptable. We don't know the details well enough to make a judgment call either way, methinks.

Pretty vague on their part to be in someones back Yard with an alleged Gunshot and a scream...Could have been wild sex and fireworks....See amended post above...

Is your backyard gated and fenced?

M1 might be more appropriate... that way you can stack 'em and use them for sandbags.
