On Sat We went to the Greenwood Car show in Ballard. There is a table set up near the street and I just see (due to a big woman) "required background checks" on a sign written in crayon. The lady asks me if I'd like to support background checks. I replied "I already follow the law, why would I want more rules telling me what to do?" The response "well, MY friends read the bible too and they are always looking to better them selves and protect their community" It was more the holier-than-thou way she answered that made me say "Maybe they have real guilty consciences for what they hell they're really up to" After we cleared the table my girlfriend asks "Why do you care so much if they want to do background checks on Uber drivers?"
I'm not convinced they were.....

Uber drivers are already background checked...this doesn't add up.

I looked up some initiatives, there is one to force safety checks/requirements on their vehicles.
