Interesting.. Knowing there are a few erroneous denials, I would hate to be pinned down and questioned by PD..

But, on the other foot, we have LONG said that "....If they would just enforce the laws already in place!".. So BRAVO!

Shouldn't it be the Feds checking up on these people and not the state police?

This. I don't have a problem with SOMEONE following up on denials. If it's a felon, throw the book at him. If it was an error, maybe this will help motivate them to fix the system.
It's already the law, fucking enforce it.

Agreed. But, it's a Federal law. I'm inclined to think errors investigated by the state police won't motivate the Feds to fix the system. It's the Feds system...they should be the ones doing the investigating and the enforcing. Why should state tax payers fork the bill for enforcing a Federal law?

I'm pretty sure if it is an error, they're not going to spend much time on it. If the person really is a prohibited person, they'll do something.

State law, Federal Law, State Money, Federal Money, what's the difference. They affect all of us and the money comes from the same pockets----ours.

It's long past time someone started enforcing the laws period. As for the Feds, they should just stick with their constitutional mandates and keep their nose out of everything else.

Let's go with a real world example:
marine3% gets a denial at SAA.
SAA calls Capt. America at the po po station.
They don't have anyone available to send out to SAA for a few hours.
Does SAA require the felon to hang out all day? Do they send him home? Will Team America show up at the felons house, at 2am?

Too many unanswered questions.

(that's the way I half ass read it, could be completely wrong though)

^ Close.

Actually, Team America would have responded immediately in this example, because even at the po po station across town they heard Talons slam the door!
