Stopped there on a whim on my way in to work. Lots of .22LR on the shelves. Got a Winchester 333 for $18.99; not a great price but much better than the $40 I see it for online, if at all.

Hey that wasn't me...I had to make it quick and get to work!

I would have bought a 9mm Shield mag if they had one...but sadly no.

I hid some last time I was down there for a Member here. Sent him a text on location. Never heard back whether he picked them up or not. That was a while ago.....

Hmmm wonder if theyre still there.

Anyone want to look for 'Em?

Dont make a special trip but .....heres the text...

Next isle fron .22...the rifle ammo isle

second shelf from the top all the way left behind Hornady Custom Lite reduced recoil 30-06....

just reach behind the boxes or pull the Hornady 06 out. two boxes Winchester Power Point.

I figured nobody buys reduced recoil anything so they'd be safe for a while.

Haven't seen .22 in Cabela's, or anywhere else in-store, for almost 2 years now. There's no point. I buy it online through gunbot, ammoseek, etc. for what are basically pre-panic prices. I have no idea why the neckbeards are still doing this.

I gave my buddy a heads up about the stash. He just sent me this: "I saw Two mini mag boxes in one of the portable bucket toilets. I don't need any right now so I just left them." I'm sure it's still there.....

I have looked at these, but haven't bought any online in a long time. $9 or more to ship a box of .22 isn't reasonable to me. Too many times I've gone onto those price aggregators, see an "In Stock" next to some $0.06/rnd or better .22, only to get to the site and it not allow me to check out, force me to buy more stuff to get a shipping break, say "Out of Stock", etc. Done with it. Buying ammo online used to be awesome but now it's the worst.

I have purchased about 1000 rounds of .22 since Dec 2012, none of it at gouger prices and ALL in stores. Just drop in to Wal-Mart, Sportsman's Warehouse, Sportco, Cabela's, etc for 5 minutes and look, eventually you will get lucky. For centerfire ammo, Brad in Lake Tapps and his mountain of Washougal reloads is pretty hard to beat.
