Who's going? I support this event every year by putting up posters around Burien to Federal Way. 8 different classes (approx. 300 cars)with some cars worth north of 250K running flat out around the track!

Today through Sunday!!

The best part is all proceeds are donated to Childrens hospital.

I'll be there today with my Waguns Hat & Shirt on!

I usually go. I love hearing Goodmans big block Corvette and a real Cobra going head to head wide open

For me, these races aren't 'historic', they're nostalgic: I took my first ICSCC driver training in my then-new 1965 Datsun Fair Lady 1500 at Delta Park (Portland).

Are there many 1969 carreras?

There was only one back when they were new (they replaced the 904). Oddly, I would expect to see more these days. There were close to a dozen at the Monterey Historics 15 years ago or so.

At Delta Park, they let all the other cars race for 5 laps or so before they'd start - they'd still win the heat by 2-3 laps.

On the other hand, I was working Turn 7 (protected by a hay bale) at a race several years later and got to feel the earth shake as a race exhaust 427 Cobra rumbled by (less than 20' away).

Let's try linking that pic again . . . .
