A friend of my mother-in-law "adopted" a 2 year old Catahoula/cattle mix that's been passed around 7 times already. She took him 3 weeks ago and has now decided to move to a 3rd floor apt and doesn't want to be bothered with going up and down stairs with a dog! My wife and I are severe dog lovers (we knew it wasn't going to work when she got him!), but we have a dog aggressive pooch right now, so we can't take him. He's fixed and up to date on shots (adopted from NOAH in Stanwood) and is available in Arlington. He's very mellow, but being a cattle dog, likes to heard people and has been know to nudge and nip slightly so I would say he belongs in a house without kids. I wish I knew more info on him, or had pictures. The one in this link:

If you can help, send me a PM and I'll get you in touch with the owner.

Dang, were kind of looking but doesn't sound like a good fit for us(2 kids). I'll put the word out to some good dog owners I know.

Wish I could...but with three boys, no can do with the chances of him "nudging" or "nipping" at any of the boys...Norman (my Great Pyrenees) would not handle that well, and then I'd a) having at least one whopping veterinary bill and b) have blood all over. I'll ask around though, the neighbour with whom I walk Norman and Lily has no children and a sweet Viszla mix bitch (spayed), they might get on okay.

I have a herding dog (Aussie Shepherd) and four kids. Before ruling out families with children, I would recommend they must learn about the herding varieties. Most importantly, the children and adults need to acknowledge the dogs presence by "eyeing" the dog. People who get nipped in my house are those that do not do this.
