So I have friends in their mid 70's that bought a retirement home in Avondale AZ. They sold their house here in Twin Lakes so as a goodbye thing we went out to dinner with them at Morton's hoping to see FattyKrack. While there Tom's wife told me that had a gun in a display case that they don't want to bring to AZ with them and they would like to give it to me but only if I want it.... Really????? I don't even know what it is and I want it!
Then Josée comments that the 1st guy who called on her Lexus ES330 (loaded-nav, sterio) with 21000 miles on it (flawless) is going to buy it. I've seen this car and I know her husband is anal about cars (he has a 65 Porsche 356C that's mint) so I asked her what she was asking.... When she said no scratches or door dings, that it was perfect for 16K!!!! I immediately said I'll buy it from you but she said "I already told the guy he had 1st shot". It took me a full 24 hours to convince her that she didn't know this guy from Adam and that she should sell it to a friend.
Tomorrow I pick up my lightly used lexus and unfired/unknown gun!
I'm dreaming big but I'm hoping it's a 1911 in the display case! I'll post pics tomorrow!

My wife get's the Lexus. I have my 2011 chev 4x4, my 2008 Goldwing and my fully restored 1969 Chevy Camaro.
So she gets the car for free (I'm buying it) but I get a $16,000 gun. I'm hoping it's a gold 1911
