Lifts are OK if done right and are functional. 2' - 4" seems about right on most trucks (not jeeps trucks) to enhance off road ability and keep it functional

If you lift so you can squeeze 35's on 22" rims it's useless.
If your tires are so big you can't turn lock to lock it's useless.
If your tires fill up the wheel well to the point that any suspension flex would cause them to rub on the fender/wheel well it's useless.
If your truck has 4 chrome plated shocks on each corner and chrome suspension parts it's useless.
If your bed is so high you can't reasonably load anything in it without a ladder or forklift it's useless.

Yes the pavement princesses are annoying. Whats even a step higher on the d bag scale is the guy with a $70k diesel truck just cause he can and nothing to tow or haul with it. Same guy also drives around town wkth the mirrors out in the tow position, all the time. Takes a special kind of gay to be that guy.

With big rig style smoke stacks so he can "roll coal"?

Them Dodge boys get the special freebie at purchase the truck of a real nice ghost trailer.
At the mall a couple months back, guy leaving in a Derge as I pull in and I ask him what year his trailer was, he said he didn't own one. I told he must as his moose antlers were out so he could watch his trailer. Told me to fuck off while I laughed. He left rather hot, have a feeling he may be driving around with them in now.

Funny thing is, when I had my dodge I left the mirrors out on long drives. The were the split mirrors where half the mirror was at a different angle. It gave me bad headaches for some reason after driving for a while. So I left them out. Ide rather look stupid then have a headache all day. I have two big trucks now and a little dick, so yes I am compensating. Sure is more useful than a stupid ass import with different color bumpers and no suspension.

Big trucks don't bother me, it's them f***ing Subaru drivers with their gay ass mufflers.
Real men drive pickups. Not girl cars, like a Subaru.

I guess I'm schitzo or something. I have big Dodge truck with a V10 engine, and a Turbo charged Subaru Outback (with normal stock exhaust). BTW, my camper is a 2009.

Ive had those trucks, and the tires WILL eat the fenders when climbing very uneven terrain.... Needs more room in the wheel wells.

Most people go to a tire store looking to "customize" and pick a lift size, THEN buy tires that fill up the extra space in the wheel well. Thats ass-backwards, but works fine for mall-crawlers down in the "populated" counties

You should be choosing a tire size that will give the performance you want, then lift till the truck cant eat itself when its used for something other than picking the kids up at school!

yeah pretty much.

If I see two vehicles, one with stockish size tires, but a bit of lift, and another with wheel wells stuffed full of aggressive tire, I know which one actually takes that vehicle off-road in the PNW.

most guilty of this seem to be those driving around Jeeps with the fenders stuffed full of tire, on wide wheel spacers, such that the smallest amount of flex is going to take off the fender flares. yeah, you aren't leaving the pavement in that thing.

Yep.....cuz Jeeps with big rubber could only 'wheel in 1983:

4,500 mile road trip....WA to Moab to Surprise Canyon to Glamis to San Diego to the Rubicon to Reno (Silver Legacy!!!!) to Crater Lake, and back home again, but I guess it was a pavement pounder most of the way so maybe the theory holds:

This isn't what I'm talking about at all. You still have plenty of room to flex in all of these rigs.

More what I mean is guys that buy a truck off the lot and stuff the biggest size tires that will fit in the wheel well. Some of them put wheel spacers on just to be able to steer without tires hitting the frame or inner wheel well, and any amount of flex will shred the fenders.

I see a lot of stock height Wranglers looking like this

of course conveniently now I can't find any example pics, but you probably know what I'm talking about, and it's none of your trucks as pictured.

a hefty chunk of pick-up owners here in texas drive like closeted prius owners. it's like they're afraid of going more than 70mph on any given road where the limit is above 55mph.

This is so stupid it makes my head hurt. Maybe I should put a sticker on my truck informing everyone not to worry, that I have a 9" cock. Don't hate if the reason you are hating is cus you can't climb in one.

Now a better stereotype would be surplus cop cars. 3 types own those, ghetto black guys( it's kind of ironic isn't it?), poor people or people with a cop fetish.

Yeah, you need a Subaru as a footstool. Plus, your beard would cover the hood.
